In the face of unprecedented authoritarian attacks on our sector, the AAUP is building a powerful and militant resistance movement in defense of American higher education, the freedom to learn, and our democracy.

“Demand letters to universities, a compact which is nothing more than a loyalty oath, ideologically driven state houses that are ending tenure and collective-bargaining rights, ending academic freedom — and you’re going to tell me I should be neutral?” AAUP President Todd Wolfson said.

“There’s no neutrality on a runaway train.”
