If you have started worrying every time your parent does not answer the phone right away, you are probably already feeling the emotional weight that comes with caregiving.

Concerns about falls, memory changes, driving, or living alone can create constant stress for families. Having guidance and support can help you make thoughtful decisions instead of reacting during a crisis.

Summer is here — and so is swimming season! ☀️💦
As families head to pools, lakes, and splash pads, it’s important to remember that water safety matters for everyone, including aging adults and individuals with disabilities.

Did you know?
• Adults 65+ experience a higher risk of slips and falls around wet surfaces.
• People with sensory, mobility, or cognitive disabilities may need extra support in busy or noisy aquatic environments.
• Adaptive swim programs are growing nationwide — a huge win for inclusion this summer.

Let’s make the season safe, joyful, and accessible for all.
If you’re caring for a senior or a child with a disability, consider:
✔ Non-slip sandals
✔ Bright‑colored swimwear for visibility
✔ Life vests designed for adaptive needs
✔ A “swim buddy” system for added safety

Summer fun belongs to everyone. 💙
