Scheduling Updates

Dear Parents/Guardians:

We are still making updates to students’ schedules. Please ensure that your child checks their skyward account for any updates on their assigned classes, classroom assignments, or teachers. We are making every effort to ensure every classroom has an in-person teacher for instruction. Subsequently, due to the nationwide teacher shortage, we may be unable to fulfill this mission, which has resulted in some students having an Elevate class for different subjects. On your child’s schedule, under the teacher column, it will read “Elevate” and the course. For example, if your child has an Elevate Biology class, then under the teacher column it will reflect “Elevate-Biology”. Therefore, if you DO NOT want your child to have an Elevate course assigned to their schedule, please complete the attached google form and select one of the three options available. Attached you will find a general letter regarding what Elevate is.

Elevate The purpose of this form is to provide your preference regrading elevate. All Elevate classes have been identified as Elevate-class name under the column identified as teacher. Please only complete this IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR CHILD TO HAVE AN ELEVATE CLASS.

Acceleration Celebration!
Monday evening was a special night at KHS to celebrate students that are going above and beyond in academic pursuits. The KHS students listed below were invited the the Acceleration Celebration reception and congratulated for their achievement and being advanced in portfolio completion in various subject areas. The students we also recognized Monday evening by the Board of Education.

Local business donated prizes to help celebrate and encourage academic success.
