This NA8 Miata came to us with a piece of turbo Miata history — an original Flyin’ Miata turbo kit from 2002. While it served its purpose well over the years, it was time for a modern refresh.

We upgraded the car to a Kraken low-mount turbo setup paired with a PSR G25-550 turbo running 12psi, bringing the combination into the modern era with improved efficiency, drivability, and room to grow.

The outdated MS2 ECU was also retired in favor of a Link ECU using an NB1 Plug-In ECU and adapter from criticalelement_, giving us a much more capable and reliable engine management system.

Alongside the performance upgrades, we handled the maintenance items that matter most—new gaskets, timing belt, and water pump—to make sure the car is as dependable as it is fun.

Custom fabrication work included:
• Lower water neck
• Custom intercooler piping
• Custom intake tube

Next up will be a custom exhaust system to finish off the package.

A perfect blend of old-school Miata turbo roots and modern technology. Tuned, refreshed, and ready for many more miles.
