It was exciting for Ketchie Inc to serve as a stop on the National Association of Manufacturers - NAM State of Manufacturing Tour while they were in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Courtney Silver welcomed Jay Timmons, President & CEO of NAM; Derek Theurer, Acting Deputy Secretary of the Treasury of the United States; Gary Salamido, President & CEO of the North Carolina Chamber; and Congressman Tim Moore, along with representatives from Addison McDowell’s and Senator Ted Budd’s offices, for a conversation on the shop floor about the state of manufacturing.

During the visit, we highlighted three major capital investments made possible through 100% immediate expensing under H.R. 1 — a tangible example of how smart tax policy allows American manufacturers to invest, grow, and drive real manufacturing progress right here on the shop floor which reinforces what’s possible when policy and industry align.

Our guests also met our Opportunity Knocks champions and current students — a job-shadowing program that allows high school students to “try on” manufacturing alongside mentors so that they can see for themselves what a career in manufacturing can look like. The impact goes beyond our shop, creating real generational opportunity in our community and industry.
