Ted Lasso fever is officially loose in Kansas City. A Ted Lasso branded party bus was spotted rolling through town on Friday, and Apple TV+ has dressed a Country Club Plaza bridge in the show's blue and white ahead of the Season 4 premiere on August 5.
So why might Jason Sudeikis himself turn up? The man is one of ours. He grew up in Overland Park, came up through KC sports fandom, and has never been shy about repping home.
Season 4 leaned all the way into that, with several scenes filmed right here across the metro, so KC is not just a backdrop this time, it is part of the story.
Add the free international watch party at CPKC Stadium on Saturday July 11, complete with special appearances, giveaways, and limited edition merch, plus a Ted Lasso lookalike contest over on Independence Square, and you have every reason for a hometown kid to swing back through.
Whether Coach Lasso is riding that bus or not, the message on the Plaza is clear. Believe. See you at the K's neighbor to the west this weekend.
