It’s easy to pour our time, energy and attention into the things we love most. In sports, we train, study, practice and pursue improvement daily.

Following Jesus is not about perfection, but continual pursuit. The more we seek Him, the more our desire for Him grows until being with Him becomes our greatest joy.

May God become our one thing above everything else. ☝️

David understood what it felt like to drift from God. After choosing sin over obedience, he cried out for God to restore the joy he once had in Him.

So often, when we fail or fall short, we begin to believe we’re too far gone. But our mistakes do not change our identity in Christ.

David was still God’s child. And through Jesus, so are we.

God’s heart is not to push us away, but to restore us. He offers forgiveness, grace and the opportunity to return to Him with a renewed heart.

No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, God is still calling you back to the joy found in Him.
