Dr. Loarry Funchess has called Texas home for over 20 years. She graduated from the University of Houston, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and met her husband. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry, graduating Magna Cum Laude and earning multiple academic, leadership, and service awards.

During her clinical training, Dr. Funchess gained extensive experience treating ocular disease and providing pre- and post-operative care. She also worked alongside a leading expert in Vision Rehabilitation, where she discovered her passion for helping children and patients who benefit from vision therapy.

Dr. Funchess is passionate about educating her patients and empowering them to make informed decisions about their eye health. She is a member of the Optometric Vision Development & Rehabilitation Association, Texas Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association.

In her free time, she enjoys exploring healthy living, cooking, and spending time with her family—including her three cats.
