In response to forecasted extreme heat, MWVCAA is opening our Cooling Centers on Sunday, 6/14, and Monday, 6/15, to provide a safe, cooled place for individuals at risk.

MWVCAA Cooling Centers will operate from 1PM to 7PM at the following locations, in addition to regular hours of operation:

• Arches Day Center

Adults 18+ only
Partners and pets welcomed
Cool beverages provided

• Woodburn Shelter
1560 Hardcastle Rd, Woodburn, OR
Adults 18+ only
Partners and pets welcomed
Cool beverages provided

• Family First Day Center
1255 Broadway St. NE, Salem, OR
Families and pets welcomed
Cool beverages provided

Our outreach team will also be hitting the streets across Marion County offering cooling assistance.

Seed Of Faith Christian Center Int'l will also be open for cooling June 13-15, 2PM-7PM, at 1230 Winter St NE, Salem, OR.

It was great to see the wonderful new Detox and first of its kind Sobering Center at Bridgeway Community Health it’s an honor to have community partners dedicated to helping people!

They are also offering a primary care clinic for individuals who may need that support! This is a great step forward in the fight against substance abuse in our area!!
