💐 In honor of Virginia Green's 100th Birthday the Keizer Heritage Museum shares our appreciation for the great works she has done to preserve and document our local history. 🏫 In 2012, Virginia met Evelyn Melson Franz, a core volunteer at the Keizer Heritage Museum, and recorded recollections from Evelyn and early Keizer.

Many Keizer residents remember the stop of the FREEDOM TRAIN in Salem. Thanks to Doug Pigsley for sharing these two images of him with brothers Tom and Andy near the steam train 4449. "Mom snapped a few pictures which was great. America's 200th was a fun and exciting time, I do remember that." Salem visit November 15-17, 1975. You can visit the locomotive NOW in PORTLAND!
