According to the Kaufman County Fire Marshal the BURN BAN IS LIFTED

By order of the Kaufman County Fire Marshal, the countywide burn ban has been rescinded effective immediately. Outdoor burning in accordance with standard regulations is now permitted. Please ensure that all fires are conducted safely, in accordance with state law, and that they are attended with a readily available water source until they have completely burned out. Must still call in and get permit to burn

The SH 274 bridge at Kings Creek is a solid sheet of ice. We’ve had two accidents on it within the last few minutes. Please use caution if you are out. Early today the roads were in good shape but they are rapidly becoming hazardous. If you do not have to get out, please don’t.

It’s not too late to bring that New, unwrapped toy to Kemp City Hall. The donation box is in the front lobby and all toys donated will be sent to Faith at Work Ministries. They will be donating collected toys from local agencies to deliver to Toys for Tots. Thank for your donations and have a very Happy Holiday Season!
