ScreamU Launches “Back To Ghoul,” a Free Casting Contest Giving First-Time Actors a shot at their First Speaking Role On Camera
Three-week entry window; winner films in Atlanta and receives lodging + demo reel clip

ATLANTA, GA — Aug 15, 2025 — ScreamU today opened entries for Back To Ghoul, a free three-week fan-voting casting contest designed for first-time actors—especially students, extras, and aspiring performers who’ve never had a speaking role on camera. Winner will receive a cash prize of $500 and a speaking role in an upcoming ScreamU production, lodging in Atlanta during filming, and a finished demo-reel clip.

“Back To Ghoul is built for the kid in the hallway, the theatre student, the extra in the back—the ones who just need one shot,” said Derek Bailey, founder of ScreamU. “We’re opening the door and removing the cost barrier so new talent can step forward and be seen.”

The contest is open to entrants in Metro Atlanta and neighboring states ([GA/AL/TN/SC/NC/FL]) and emphasizes access, safety, and real credit. Once inside, contestants can promote their profiles to friends and family for votes.
