In 2012, LWCDP helped make clean water a reality for hundreds of people in Metipso and neighboring communities. In 2014, a neighborhood clinic was built thanks to LWCDP donors and now basic medical help is within walking distance.

Community Development Project - Stage 3 (Community Center)

The community center which will be dedicated in memory of Isaac Biwott will be built in the village of Chemususu to serve the needs of the surrounding primary schools and communities. The center will include a library that will provide access to Internet and print literature for all ages, as well as information about international scholarships at colleges and universities abroad. The center will also serve as a place to receive and distribute donations of clothing, food, and school supplies, as well as a space to engage in community meetings and intramural sports. Housing will also be built for volunteers who wish to provide free services at the community center or nearby clinic.
