Celebrating 35 years!

Werner Brisske, President of Partners in Design Architects, reflects on our 35-year journey below.

When we started the firm 35 years ago, we had a vision: to practice architecture with passion, deliver great design and service, improve the communities we touched, and foster a culture of collaboration where staff at all levels could learn and grow. We aimed to work across a diverse range of projects, build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues, and work closely with project partners to achieve mutual successes.

That vision has been our reality, and after 35 years, we continue to push ourselves to innovate, grow, and elevate everything we do — guided by the same passion, collaboration, and vision that started it all.

This is our final reflection on the local landmarks we have contributed to over the years, through our Oh, The Places You'll Know series. Below are a completed project image, a drone construction photo, and an initial rendering of LakeView Technology Academy in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

After 25 years serving high school students pursuing STEM careers, LakeView Technology Academy relocated to anchor the new Kenosha Innovation Neighborhood. The 48,000 square foot facility offers traditional lecture-based instruction and three large shop spaces for project-based learning. Its central location provides convenient access for Kenosha Unified School District students during the day and hosts Gateway Technical College classes in the evenings and on weekends.

Fun Fact: Partners in Design Architects designed both the new LakeView Technology Academy and their original building back in 2000.
