Here we go! Haymaker Farmers' Market 😁🥕

Guess what?! Tomorrow we will be at the Haymaker Farmers' Market!! Come see us! We will have:
Basil, oregano, and parsley
Butterhead lettuce
Salad mix
Rhubarb
Garlic scapes
Cutting celery
🌱🥬🧄🥗

Curious how we make our beds? We use a gardening process called "No Dig" which is where we try for minimal disturbance of the soil. This keeps in place natural relationships between soil organisms.
First, we lay cardboard on top of the grass and water it. This acts as a temporary w**d barrier which will break down after a few months. Next, we use our own homemade compost which will provide nutrients long-term. We top it with composted cow manure which we will plant seedlings directly in. We finish with wood chip paths to keep w**ds down between rows, and which will add structure and nutrition to the soil as they break down. There you have it!

Today was our first market! We had such an amazing time! Thank you to everyone who showed us kindness and purchased plants! And thank you to Haymaker Farmers' Market for letting us try out our first time selling plants! See you May 29!
