Program Manager (PM)
Position Description:
The Program Manager is hired by and is responsible to the Program Director for the successful performance of his/her job functions. The program manager is responsible to coordinate and oversee day to day operations of the agency program and ensure staff are properly trained and are carrying out their daily duties and that supports for clients in all aspects of their lives are adequate and that homes are maintained and clean. The duties assigned to the Faculty Coordinator are as follows:
Responsibilities:
• Ensure supply purchases in assigned living units for individual food, clothing, etc.
• Train and oversee staff in the implementation of programs and program skills
• Maintain accurate spending control documents, including SNAP usage ledgers, petty cash receipts, check vouchers, and credit card receipts for company card
• Ensure that DSP staff are providing clients with frequent opportunities for quality recreational activities
• On-call responsibility for staffing coverage on a rotating basis
• Program maintenance to include oversight of weekly documentation audits and random reviews of documentation and acting when inadequacies are found
• Monitor and foster a positive, productive workplace and recognize excellent work
• Facilitate Program Conferences, ensuring that PCS forms are filled out correctly
• Oversee and ensure that instructors communicate changes in health/psychiatric/social status to Program Directors in a timely manner
• Review and ensure that the living unit, the staff, and the overall supports and living unit always meet high quality standards
• Monitor and ensure maintenance oversight of agency vehicles, homes, and property
• Responsible to oversee and monitor transportation arrangements for all clients to appointments and for outings
• Other duties as assigned by the Program Director
Position Qualifications:
• High School graduate or equivalent
• Completed or scheduled to complete within 6 months three modules of supervisor training program
• 3 or more years working directly with persons with disabilities
• Experience coordinating, supporting and evaluating the work of others
• Able to work a flexible schedule
• Able to supervise clients’ self-medication programs
• Ability to lift/transfer individuals weighing up to 125 lbs., with training
• Have, or willing to get, Nursing Assistant Registration with 75 hours of training, Washington State Driver’s License, Proof of CPR and First Aid certification, recent TB test, Food Handler’s Permit and other training as necessary
• Must pass a criminal background inquiry as required by law upon hire

Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Position Description:
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) reports to the Program Manager and is directly responsible to them for the successful performance of his/her job functions. The DSP provides services directly to clients of ILS so that they can live in the community as any other person. DSPs are responsible for providing a stimulating environment, encouraging independence through teaching and showing clients how to do things, helping clients to keep a healthy and clean home and yard, if they have one, and following all aspects of the client’s Person-Centered Plan.
Responsibilities:
• Provide support, supervision and training to residents to ensure health and safety and provide any necessary personal care. Personal care includes bathing, tooth brushing, toileting/diapering, etc.
• Coordinate and implement all resident programs as outlined in the P*P
• Provide maintenance, housekeeping, laundry and food preparation as needed
• Maintain accurate daily documentation in all logs and program books in a timely and professional manner
• Communicate and coordinate with other staff on a regular basis via house reporting systems
• Report any unusual observations or concerns to direct supervisor and seek guidance to resolve problems
• Attend regular staff meetings and provide input
• Responsible to provide frequent opportunities for clients to go out in the community
• Responsible to ensure that the client’s environment provides adequate stimulation and interesting activities that are of interest to the individual
• Responsible to engage the client every fifteen minutes at a minimum and provide “active treatment”
• Complete clients’ PCS forms
• Must be able to respond to emergencies in a calm, reasonable fashion
• Must be able to transport clients using agency vehicles when necessary
• Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications:

Program Director
Position Description:
The Program Director, who answers to the Senior Program Director and the Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for the overall day to day operations of their assigned caseload of clients and homes. The Program Director should be exercising due diligence with all aspects of their assignment to ensure that the highest standards are achieved for client care and that all regulations are followed carefully.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct scheduled evaluations for all staff
• Oversee and train staff in the implementation of programs and developing program skills
• Ensure living units are well maintained, to include grounds and property maintenance
• On-call responsibilities for emergencies 24 hours a day on a rotating schedule
• Responsible for maintaining highest quality cleanliness and safety in the living units, ensuring each home is attractive and represents the clients’ preferences and tastes
• Responsible for monitoring staff attendance and acting regarding attendance as necessary
• Ensure that the work environment is positive and conducive to high staff morale. Ensure positive feedback tools are employed.
• Develop and implement Person Centered Plan according to ILS procedures
• Facilitate regular and special staff meetings
• Point person for all consultants, therapists, physicians, and any other outside entities as appropriate.
• Investigate and oversee all reported incidents and process reports in a timely manner
• Participate in all state investigations
• Oversee initial training and review to ensure that staff are trained well
• Ensure that all program and nursing aspects are being done as prescribed
• Provide relief coverage for other Program Directors during times of leave
• Ensure that all employees are following ILS policy
• All other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications:
• Certificate in Human Services Management or equivalent
• Five or more years working directly with persons who are severely developmentally challenged and in developing, monitoring, and evaluating program plans
• Experience coordinating, supporting, and evaluating the work of direct care providers
• Demonstrated ability to gather and assimilate information effectively and make reasonable decisions on an independent basis
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to ensure agency standards are maintained
• Have possession of, or willing to get, Nursing Assistant Registration, Washington State Driver’s License, Proof of CPR and First Aid certification, Recent TB test, Food Handler’s Permit, and other training as necessary
• Must pass a criminal background inquiry as required by law upon hire.
