💍✨ Wedding Season Etiquette — Did you know…?

As invitations start to fill your calendar…
there’s one detail many guests quietly wonder about 👀

👉 Where do I sit at the ceremony?⛪️💒🔔

Traditionally:

💐 The bride’s family & friends sit on the LEFT
🤵 The groom’s family & friends sit on the RIGHT

✨ Easy way to remember:
As you walk down the aisle —
bride = left, groom = right

This seating tradition is used in many Western-style wedding ceremonies, including:
• Christian (Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal, etc.)
• Jewish weddings (with slight variations)
• Non-religious or civil ceremonies that follow traditional formats.

But here’s the modern update…

💫 Many couples today choose:
“Pick a seat, not a side.”

Because wedding season also means:
blended families, shared friendships, and a more inclusive celebration.

✔️ So what should you do?
Follow the couple’s lead.
Look for signage.
And when in doubt… choose a seat with confidence and grace, on either side. This is completely optional, it’s not a rule.

True elegance at the table is knowing when to speak — and when to simply wait. 🕊️ A gentle reminder: covering your mouth while chewing is not etiquette; patience is. The most refined way is to chew, swallow, and then speak — never simultaneously, regardless of how we conceal it or how important it is what we have to say.

Grace, after all, is always in the details. 🍽️✨

Despite the storm that came out of nowhere ⛈️ — and having to move everything indoors in a flash — we still fried the turkey and had a blast! 🦃✨
Here’s a peek at the prep, the sizzle, and the chaos in between… Thanksgiving is always magic, rain or shine. ☔️🤎
Frying the turkey is a risky business, but nothing beats the flavor — and trust me, we’ve tried them all. 😄🔥

This year, we did our cooking with a latin twist: coconut rice, beef tenderloins with mushrooms sauce, mashed potatoes, flan, a delicious fresh salad, home made tres leches, pavlova, the typical “relleno”, and of course the fried turkey. What a great combination of flavors! 😋🤤😋🤤
