Motivating Minds, LLC

Through research and critical thinking, our students created maps tracing a possible journey an enslaved person may have taken to reach freedom in Canada. They identified plantations, safe houses, and important locations connected to the Underground Railroad, helping them better understand the challenges, risks, and bravery of those seeking freedom. This activity encouraged historical understanding, empathy, map-reading skills, and deeper connections to the past through hands-on learning.
