Rebranding and building up!

Is it really Expedition if its just a overnighter? It may not be the Amazon river this time but it's still and adventure in our own back yard. Our first canoe trip of the year down from the headwaters of the French Broad River (our home river). Thanks to Headwater Outfitters for their wonderful staff, campground and shuttle service.

It was fun to pull out some old gear I haven't used in awhile and get a little bushy crafty with some new and old stuff, which is kinda like new and old friends.

Platypus Hydration Gravity waterfilter system was a game changer from other past methods of filtering and using water in camp.

The Flat pack twig stove as always been a backup to my JetBoil. and great with lots of small tigs to burn boils a cup of water in 6 minutes, but required lots of stoking. It was fun to us it and not burn canned fuel.

Did a little side demo of some Dutch oven cooking (2 loaves of bread and a peach cobbler) at Rewyld Outdoors bushcraft event last week in Florida. What a great Event Shaun thanks for asking me to join y’all. Looking to doing it again.
