Each week, staff from the library recommend favorites from the collection for the Shelf Help feature in the Keys Weekly newspapers. This week's book, "Problematic Summer Romance" by Ali Hazelwood, is recommended by Riona Campbell, acting branch manager at the Big Pine Key branch library:

"Do you like messy age-gap romances between consenting yet emotionally-constipated adults? Because I definitely do and this is such a delight! On the surface, Maya (little sister to Eli from 'Not In Love') and Conor (Eli’s best friend) seem to have little in common and try to avoid each other while in Sicily for Eli and Rue’s wedding. Told in revealing flashbacks and awkward present-day encounters, Maya and Conor foster a deep friendship that collapses, then struggle to find their way back to each other. I loved it on my first read and recently listened to the audiobook. The dual narrators brought a whole new dimension to this book and I’m even more obsessed now."
