Good morning CRC family! It's Monday morning and I have another fun metal fact for you.
Magnesium is highly flammable and cannot be extinguished with just any methods. Water, foam, and carbon dioxide are ineffective. The fire either needs to continue to burn on its own or a special Class D fire extinguisher needs to be used. Using water will produce hydrogen gas and intensify the fire.
Due to this, we do not accept magnesium. We are open today and tomorrow from 9am - 4:30pm to assist with all your other metal needs.
