I am a 1990 graduate of KHS-Killeen High School. At my time there, I met a teacher, Mrs. Deborah Siegman. When I began writing A Thread of Waking Light, my first book, she and I corresponded over a variety of nitpicky things I wanted to get right. Her help was invaluable, and I thanked her officially for it in the Acknowledgments.
