Introducing Paul Evans, who will be performing with Valhalla Brass at the Kirkland Arts Center Gallery on Saturday, February 21st, at 7:30 PM.

Paul Evans is the principal tubist of Symphony Tacoma, a position he has held since 2000. An active performer and educator, he has previously taught tuba performance at Boise State University and Pacific Lutheran University. Evans is a regular substitute with the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra and frequently performs with Tacoma Opera and other regional ensembles throughout the Pacific Northwest

Introducing Keith Winkle. He is part of Valhalla Brass who is performing at the Kirkland Arts Center Gallery on Saturday, February 21st, at 7:30 PM.

Keith Winkle is a well established trombonist in the Seattle area and enjoys playing with symphony orchestras, pit orchestras and also chamber music like Valhalla Brass!Highlights of 2024 include Pagliacci with Seattle Opera, Mary Poppins at the 5th Ave Theater, Beautiful at Village Theatre, sitting in with the 8 Bit Big Band and various performances with Seattle Symphony, Pacific Northwest Ballet orchestra, Symphony Tacoma and Auburn Symphony. Keith has degrees from Central Washington University and the University of North Texas and his teachers include Larry Gookin and Vern Kagarice.

Introducing Blake Yarbrough of Valhalla Brass!

Blake Yarbrough is a horn player, software engineer, and nonprofit leader. After receiving a Bachelor of Music from Northwestern University and a Master of Music from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, he spent several years freelancing in the Dallas, TX
area before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 2011. He performed as part of the U.S. Fleet Forces Band in Norfolk, VA then transferred to Navy Band Northwest in 2013. As a nonprofit leader, he co-founded the Poulsbo Community Orchestra and currently serves on the Roxy Bremerton Foundation board of directors. After the Navy, he became a software engineer for Microsoft and
continues to play with orchestras and chamber ensembles in the Pacific Northwest.

Why Collaborative Musicians’ Project?

The mission of the Collaborative Musicians' Project is to promote accessible and consistent ensemble education and performance opportunities for musicians of all levels. A facet of the Project is our Youth Ensemble and School Support programs, designed to help serious young musicians develop important skills for successful participation in live chamber ensembles. Alongside the Youth Ensemble and School Support programs, we will also promote creative professional collaborations and side-by-side performances.

Collaborative Musicians’ Project is a registered 501(c)3 organization.
