Our Summer Camp students talked about treasure boxes and discussed what kinds of treasures we might find inside, such as coins, gold, seashells, and special keepsakes. The children used their imagination to share ideas about what treasures they would discover. After our discussion, the children created their own treasure boxes using brown paper bags, decorating them with markers to make unique treasure chests. This activity encouraged creativity, fine motor skills, and imaginative thinking.
