Destination: Springfield, Illinois

The longish inconvenient drive to Illinois was minor compared to the delight of quaint Springfield. No, not where the Simpsons live ( Jeff Dunham reference ) but where our beloved President Abraham Lincoln spent his time practicing law before becoming President.

The venue wasn't huge, but the show was. Jeff Dunham is enormously funny, and each of his characters are hilarious in their own right. Or Jeff's right. Or however you explain it. Jeff's ventriliquism is a talent that is amazing. It really throws you off. I can't really pick a favorite, so I won't.

That's right. I spent my Saturday night at a puppet show. Don't hate: appreciate.

The photos below were taken before the show began. Jeff Dunham and crew does a fantastic job of merchandising, pre-show entertainment and getting you pumped up for the main attraction: him and his little people in boxes.
