The Rustic Effect

Here we have a beautiful refinished and refurbished dining chair. The legs were a bit loose and had to be tightened. I then sanded it down and taped up a few edges. I used farmhouse white chalk paint and stained the seat with Varathane wood stain colors dark walnut and Carbon gray also added a white wash effect to give it an old barn wood look. Later I sealed the seat with a semigloss by Deft. Once that dried, I sanded the edges down. Then I finished it off with dark antique decorative finish wax to give it the rustic effect. I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out! 😍
