Grande Ronde Bowmen

In preparation of the 3-D shoot on June 13th & 14th the range is being prepared for the event. The site-in range, broadhead range, parking lot, and camping area has been mowed. Weather and wind permitting, the w**d and vegetation control will begin at the end of the week. The first part of next week the stakes and flagging will be out and on Friday the animal targets and registration area will be put up. Enjoy the range and be safe as fire season may not be too far off.

We had a work party Saturday putting targets together so we could put them on Course A. Thank you Ron Fox, Ron Babcock, Bob and Laura Grove, Jason Wilkes, and Justin Villastrigo. Be sure and thank them for their hard work.

Work is continuing to be done on the range with the somewhat mild winter we have been having. With the completion of the broadhead range signs all of the signs have been installed. There were two dangerous trees that were blown into other trees and leaning over the trail on A Course. They have been removed and not a hazard any longer. Target butts are being built and installed as time allows. Three target butts were completed and installed on B Course. With A Course needs being addressed, Scott Bowers has been falling the big trees in the way on C Course and has complete through target 18 on the 28 target course. The trail has been ruffed out thru target 10 and that work will continue. Ron Fox helped me start the construction of the first creek crossing on C Course which I reported on earlier.
