🚘 It’s always road trip season in California, but does your car insurance continue across state lines?

📄 In most cases, your coverage does transfer between states. If the minimum of one state is higher than the other, you may even see an increase in your coverage in order to accommodate that state’s laws.

🚧 However, road trips aren’t risk free. If you’re letting someone else behind the wheel, make sure you have a Permissive Use clause in your policy. That allows someone else driving the car temporary coverage, so long as they aren’t driving your car regularly. If they’re behind your wheel too often, you may have to add their name to your auto policy.
