Bag Mat Ministry

Join the Bag Mat Ministry and learn to make sleeping mats for the homeless from recycled plastic shopping bags. More than 500 mats have been made and distributed over the past 4 years. The next workshop is Saturday, April 11th from 9am to 2pm at Grace Presbyterian Church, 518 Roselawn Blvd., Lafayette. Bring a bag lunch and stay for the day, or stay just for an hour. Thank you all who participated in the August Bag Mat Workshop.
We now have about 50 completed mats.
We are now collecting them for distribution to the homeless at the November Homeless fair that provides them with information of goods and services available for their use.
Please join us on September 14th 9-2 for our next workshop at Grace Presbyterian Church 518 Roselawn Blvd. right next to L.J. Alleman middle school. We teach crochet and honor community service hours.
