I don’t ask for donations from my pottery family but today, I’m asking for support, prayers and donations for the children of a former camper of mine.
Jackie Loomis Guerra was born with a very complicated heart. She had seven surgeries by the time she was 17.
She was told that her body would never allow her to have children.
She had four.
In a tragic accident, she and her husband Matt, lost their infant daughter, Olivia.
A few years later, Jackie was diagnosed with cancer. Her body was battling with her and sadly, it won four years ago.
On April 19th, her husband passed.
Matt’s grieving parents are not responsible for raising three children while trying to come to grips with the multiple losses this family endured.
The eldest, seventeen year old, Quintin has lost a sibling and both parents.
Thankfully, he wasn’t at his high school yesterday, when a fellow student walked into the cafeteria and suicided by gunshot in the middle of the cafeteria.
I know this is a long read and a lot to take in.
Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.
Jackie was one of the strongest, kindness and sweetest people I have ever known. Her family needs support.
