This is a repurposed conversation because it is one of the biggest misconceptions we see when businesses decide it is time for a website refresh.
The first instinct is usually to update the design. New colors. New images. New layouts.
While those things can improve the look of a website, they do not automatically improve how it performs.
A website is not supposed to be a digital brochure. It should clearly communicate who you help, how you help them, and what visitors should do next.
If someone lands on your homepage and cannot figure that out within a few seconds, the issue is not the design. It is the strategy behind it.
Then there is SEO. Too often, it gets overlooked during a refresh. But if search engines cannot properly understand and index your website, you are making it harder for the right people to find you in the first place.
The biggest mistake is treating a website refresh like a cosmetic update instead of a business decision.
A new paint job does not fix a broken foundation.
Before you start thinking about a redesign, take a look at your homepage. Can a visitor immediately understand what you do, who you help, and what to do next?
If not, start there.
Repurposed because this reminder is just as relevant today as it was when we first shared it.

Repurposing is not about reposting. It’s about refining the message.
This post is pulled from one of our past micro videos, and shows you how your message can be repurposed in other ways.
This is important because most people think they need to create more content to get results. What they actually need is to go back, look at what they have already said, and make it clearer, sharper, and more intentional. That is what repurposing is supposed to do.
Because the problem is not a lack of content. The problem is trying to say too much to too many people. Trying to educate everyone. Trying to reach everyone. And in the process, the message loses its impact.
This is the correction.
Speak to the right people. The ones who are going to listen, learn, and take action. That is where your content starts to work.
Some people will not connect with this. Some will scroll past it. Some will think it does not apply to them. That is fine. They are not your audience.
The right people will recognize themselves in it. They will take something from it. And that is where your brand starts to build.
Repurposed with intention. Delivered with clarity. Still doing its job.
