Such an energy filled night of improvisation with and back in early January. So fun adding my guitar back in the looping setup too. Its hard to believe this was the first time we played together!

I’m feeling like it is time to share some new music and luckily a handful of live albums wrapped up production recently 🪬

My synth/percussion looping rig has had some major updates over the last two years so I’ll start by releasing two live albums over the next few weeks that highlight the new sonic territory. So grateful for the musicians who pushed these improvisations to the limit.

First of the two, Live at The Muse, drops this Friday featuring a trio with and .

Ambulant, featuring solo improvs and a duo with , will release in a few weeks.

I’m bringing Spices Peculiar back to the Muse on Thursday, January 8

This rendition of Spices will be an improvised trio with and . I’ll be bringing out an array of synthesizers, guitar, percussion and flutes.

It has been a few years since I played a trio set with a bass and drums. I’m looking forward to explore some new territory while reviving my guitar back into the looping rig. This is not one to miss!

I’m taking an indefinite and much needed break from the Night at Sea Podcast starting a few weeks into 2026. Eight years of improvising with myself and friends has brought so much joy, inspiration and pure connection to my musical vision and community from Pittsburgh to Boulder. But its time to catch my breath and focus on other musical endeavors.

Thank you to the almost infinite list of musicians and friends who made these last eight years and four hundred episodes possible. Spices Peculiar wouldn’t be what it is today without Night at Sea.
