Last weekend I found myself in an area off Golden Lantern that was new to me. I found a walk that took me up to Colinas Bluff Trail. To my surprise it looked over the entire village of San Juan Capistrano out to the Ocean. But I couldn’t resist painting the light on the trail where the beautiful Eucalyptus trees were blowing in the wind. Especially after recently losing so many 100 year old trees in Laguna Beach .

“Outstanding in their Field” 36 x48, was a commission for an Alpaca Farm, up North in Loomis. It took several hours to get it just right. It was a joy to work on and will be enjoyed by their family and friends of dedicated Alpaca Farmers.
