𝐒𝐖𝐋𝐀 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐈 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩
Louisiana Innovation (LA.IO), a division of Louisiana Economic Development, is developing resources designed to leverage technology and the power of AI to help small businesses owners across Louisiana navigate the process of starting and scaling a business.

A critical part of this process is hearing from current small business owners to understand their experiences, challenges and future opportunities. LA.IO is also gathering feedback on how, if at all, small business owners are currently using AI in their daily operations; and how technology and AI resources could enhance the support for small business needs.

The LA.IO team, in coordination with Emergent Method – a Louisiana-based consulting firm supporting this effort – will be holding a focus group for small business owners in Southwest Louisiana on Monday, Sept. 15, from 2:30 – 4 p.m., at the Henning SEED Center.

The SWLA Economic Development Alliance is collecting feedback from residents, partners, and economic development stakeholders across the five-parish region of Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jefferson Davis parishes. This input will be used to inform a forward-looking strategic plan that establishes a shared vision for the region, builds consensus and collaboration across all five parishes, and guides future economic growth and development for Southwest Louisiana.
