Mortgage rates haven’t fallen much further, unlike earlier this year, mainly due to limited data being analyzed during the ongoing government shutdown. Since the shutdown continues, there is still no relief there.
Psychologically, the impact may be showing with supply ticking up and demand easing. Overall, the market cooled over the past week, marking the first slowdown since early September.
