Applesway

It’s just shy of a year since my quick, easy, exciting, and extremely optimistic decision to try to save Applesway.

The decision I am forced to make at this time has been long, achingly difficult, and fiercely heartbreaking.

🍎 This Saturday, October 2nd 2021, will be the last day Applesway is open for business.

I could write a novel on the things I’ve done this year with hopeful ambition, the big dreamy plans I still had, and the emotions I’m feeling now.

My love for this little cafe has grown ten times over since last October and I do not regret my attempt to save this Lake Jackson staple. I, and many others, have worked tirelessly to keep it up and running but to no avail.

I wanted to save Applesway. I certainly never intended on being the one to close its doors. I can assure you my whole heart was in it so I ask of you- please BE KIND.

Please be patient and kind and gentle with the Applesway staff this week. We are all hurting but want to finish out the week strong!
