What my family (and some guests!) ate for dinner. It’s summer time and that calls for crispy chicken, creamy cloud-like puhtates, and roasted corn on the cob followed by the sweetest li’l vanilla & raspberry buttercream cake 😋

This photo was taken in 1989 (in case you can’t tell by my dad’s sweater). And it was around this time he taught me how to cook my first meal - pancakes & scrambled eggs!From my dad, I got my love of feeding people, my value of service to others, and my entrepreneurial spirit. And we both agreed that pancakes are our soul food - extra butter & syrup for Dad, please 😋 My dad was my #1 supporter of this business. He celebrated every win, every accomplishment with so much pride and enthusiasm, and was also able to empathize and talk me through some of the struggles as a small business owner. He never left a word of encouragement or praise unsaid. He told me I’m the hardest worker he’s ever known and I told him I got it from him ♥️ We lost my dad recently & suddenly, and now I’m even more grateful for him and that I never had to question his love for me and his pride in what I’m doing. During this period, we need to allow ourselves the space to support my mom and take some time off while we process this unbelievable loss. For this, we’ve decided to reduce our deliveries to every other week for the time being - we will be out this coming Tuesday and return with a new menu next week, for delivery on June 16th. I’ll be posting the upcoming schedule soon so you all can plan accordingly. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to making you dinner soon.

If you order from us regularly, you may notice our menu most often follows a formula. One of the components of this formula is a chicken & rice dish. This week it was Chicken Burrito Bowls - green Chile rice seasoned with the warm flavors of cumin and our secret seasoning salt, plump pinto beans, a freshly grated cheddar & jack combo, and beautifully seasoned chicken breast like only Andy can prepare. In fact, “How do you keep your chicken breast so juicy?” is probably our most commonly asked question. Not pictured is a fire-roasted corn salad that is a gorgeous rainbow of fresh vegetables and tangy Cotija, a chunky pico de gallo, and our house-made cilantro lime crema of which you’ll wish you had more.
