As we celebrate 250 years of American independence, we must remember what truly built this nation: God’s law and God’s love working together. These aren’t opposing forces—they’re inseparable.
Paul reminds us in Romans 13:9-10 that love fulfills the law. Real love doesn’t contradict God’s commandments; it embodies them. The crisis we face today isn’t just political—it’s spiritual. When we empty God’s law from our definition of love, we create chaos and tyranny.
Benjamin Franklin once asked the Constitutional Convention, “Have we forgotten our powerful friend? Or do we imagine we no longer need His assistance?” His words ring true today. Our nation was founded on the principle that God governs in the affairs of men. Without His law and His love guiding us, we cannot sustain what He has blessed us with for 250 years.

This Independence Day, let’s humbly return to the Father of lights who has guided us from the beginning.
