I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Logos Coach to discuss storytelling, theology, and the ideas behind my novels.
If you’ve ever wondered why I write the kinds of stories I do, I think you’ll enjoy the conversation.

✍️ Beautiful the Meadow Writing Update
Beautiful the Meadow is currently in Phase 2 edits, where the focus shifts from writing the story to refining it. This stage is about slowing down and asking hundreds of small questions:
* Does this scene earn its place?
* Is the dialogue as natural as it can be?
* Does every chapter leave you wanting one more?
It’s meticulous work, but it’s also where a manuscript becomes a finished novel. Every pass brings the final book in the Meadow trilogy one step closer to its October 31 release.

4th of July at Isaac Hunter Books. We had family over for the evening. Great dinner outside with the kids playing with fireworks. The show was great, though we all thought being on the boat is a much better experience.

📚 Echoes – July Book Club
Some books entertain us for a few hours. Others shape the way we think, influence the stories we tell, and become attached to particular seasons of our lives.
That’s one of the questions we’ll be exploring this month in Echoes as we read Lightning by Dean Koontz—one of the novels that had the greatest influence on my own writing.
Whether this is your first time reading it or your fifth, I’d love for you to join the conversation.
What book has stayed with you the longest?

Why do some stories stay with us for years while others disappear almost as soon as we finish them?
I’ve been thinking about that question a lot lately. Looking back at the books that shaped me as a reader—and eventually as a writer—I realized they all had something in common.
This month’s First Thursday blog explores why certain stories linger long after the final page, and why I think atmosphere plays a much bigger role than we often realize.

We’ve reached the end of this month’s Echoes Book Club selection.
One of my favorite parts of reading is discovering that different readers often walk away from the same book with completely different experiences.
If you finished In the Meadow:
What stayed with you after the final page?
And what book should we read next?

One of the questions I’m asked most often is how readers can support independent authors.
The answer is surprisingly simple: honest reviews.
If you’ve read one or more of my books, would you consider taking a few minutes to leave an honest review? Reviews help other readers discover new books. They don’t have to be long—even a sentence or two can help someone decide whether a story is right for them.
I’ve put together a single page where you can choose any Isaac Hunter book you’ve read and leave a review on Amazon, Goodreads, or directly on my website.

Thank you for reading my books and supporting independent fiction.
Now, go read some more books!
