Hot take: there are no clashing colors. Just the wrong tones sitting next to each other. I’ve photographed weddings in every color palette imaginable, and what I’ve learned is that warmth and saturation matter more than “matching.” A burnt orange and the right shade of pink? Stunning together when the tones are right. butter yellow with hot pink? Absolute magic. The key is understanding that colors don’t need to coordinate perfectly—they need to feel intentional. So if you’re drawn to bold, unexpected combinations but worried they won’t “work,” I promise you: they will. Find the right saturation. Trust your instincts. Bring warmth and personality to your wedding day instead of playing it safe with neutrals because that’s what you think you’re supposed to do. Your wedding should feel like you. And if that means jewel tones in October or pastels in January, let’s do it.
