Weekend Bake with Purely Sweets | Episode 2 💗

This weekend’s bake was Raspberry White Chocolate Scones.

Every recipe teaches me something, and this one reminded me why I love baking from scratch. Fresh raspberries, white chocolate, vanilla bean, and buttery layers finished with a raspberry glaze, whipped vanilla buttercream, raspberry compote, and freeze-dried raspberries.

I think these are just the beginning… One of my favorite parts of baking is that there’s always something new to learn. I already have ideas to make the next batch even better.😊

Yesterday, this was just dough.

After an overnight proof, fresh blueberries, bright lemon curd, and a slow bake, it became one of my favorite things to make.

The crispy, olive oil-kissed edges…
The soft, airy sourdough crumb…
The burst of sweet blueberries and tart lemon in every bite…

This is why I love baking.

Now I have to ask…

Good bread can’t be rushed.

Tonight was all about stretch and folds before the dough settled in for its overnight proof.

Tomorrow morning we’ll dimple, top, bake, and (hopefully) get that golden, crispy crust we all love.
