Yoder for Lancaster

The 2026 Lancaster County Democratic Committee Endorsement Convention was full of energy and excitement last night! I’m so excited to see such a great slate of Democratic candidates.

We learned last night that the Democratic committee is the largest it’s ever been, and attendance last night was the highest ever as well. There is momentum here!

Thank you to caucus chair Celso Mesias, Ray Ramirez who invited me, and the Latino Caucus for organizing this event!

It was a great conversation— meaningful, honest, and grounded in a shared commitment to our community. I appreciated the space to hear concerns, lift up issues, and see people of all ages getting actively involved.

A strong Latino Caucus matters. It creates a place for voices to be heard, for leadership to grow, and for policies and priorities to reflect the experiences and contributions of Latino residents across our county. When communities organize, engage, and lead together, our whole county benefits.

Special thanks to Marion and Sweet Oasis Bakery for being such gracious hosts and for creating a welcoming space to gather.

And a special treat for me: stepping next door to meet Ray’s barber at Barberagious Barbershop, a successful small business owner who built his shop through perseverance, mentorship, and hard work. Like many entrepreneurs, he faced early struggles but stayed the course. Today he’s thriving, serving loyal customers, and contributing to the vitality of the community. Stories like his are part of what makes Lancaster County strong and I was so glad to meet him!

A heartfelt thank you to outgoing Manheim Township Democratic District leaders, Brenda Kauffman (Chair) and Susan Robertson (Secretary). Over the past two years, they’ve made tremendous progress and built a strong bench of leaders ready to step in and keep the momentum going. Special thanks to Marla for her work organizing the celebration.

Congratulations and sincere thanks to Laura, Mike, and Kyle for stepping up to lead—we’re excited for what’s ahead!

Congratulations to so many of our newly elected Democrats on their inaugurations!

Monday was filled with celebrations across our communities— so many, in fact, it was impossible to be everywhere! That kind of growth and energy is something to celebrate.

Thank you to every volunteer, donor, and supporter who helped make these wins possible, from door knocking and postcarding to yard signs, phone calls, and contributions.

Now it’s time to turn this momentum into impact! Let’s go, Lancaster County!
