I know spring is just about here! I’m sure you’ve all been out these past few warm days but here’s a reminder for my lovely couples that most things don’t begin to bloom until April/May.

Who says you can’t embrace the dead grass look anyways? Faith & Jaxon did and their engagement session was just perfect.

So many of our beautiful session locations from 2025 didn’t make it onto our location guide… yet! All of that changes now.

This week has been all about updating our locations, revamping the location guide style, & marking down all the clients we have to contact for timeline meetings next week! I cannot wait to share more beautiful locations just like this one with my clients this year. Of course we had to share one of our favorite newish areas from 2025, the Winterthur Gardens.

It’s the little reactions, the family that surrounds you, & the teary eyed moments that make the day not just the “I do”.

On consult calls I hear this question often “What’s your shooting style?” and when I say candids are huge in my galleries I mean this. I’ll always get the big photos but the minute I can I’ll snap that photo of your dad teary eyed in a corner, you little niece in awe of you walking down the aisle, & of course the reaction your spouse has without a single prompt thrown their way. These moments are the irreplaceable ones. I speak from experience here.

My own wedding photos are irreplaceable to me, not that wedding day kiss but the photo of my mom hand in hand with my dad smiling walking up the steps, the one photo of my sister in law dancing happily in a group, the photo of my bridesmaids chasing around the venue’s one eyed cat. Those photos mean the world to me.

We are finalizing day of coordination details & photography details for this stunning venue!

Our team has finally gotten to the point of wedding days where repeat venues are becoming a part of our wedding schedules. This year we will be returning to this lovely venue for not just photography but also day of coordination. Of course our favorite part right now is getting to post a photo from Ellen & Andrew’s day all over again!
