Multi-Threat Solutions
Forced Entry. Ballistic. Blast. Fire.

Not all “security louvers” deliver real protection, especially from a rifle fired from a distance.

High-velocity rounds can travel hundreds of yards with lethal force, evading multiple layers of perimeter security, such as fencing, gates, and even conventional “security-rated” components, before reaching occupants and critical assets inside.

Think your building is truly secure?

Our latest white paper, “Designing Against Ballistic Threats: Why High-Security Louvers Are Essential to a Hardened Building Envelope”, reveals a critical weak point hiding in plain sight: louvers.

If you’re designing ventilation systems for data centers, backup power generation units, critical infrastructure, or high-security facilities, this is a weakness you can’t afford to ignore.

Inside the paper:
• How conventional louvers can leave you exposed to ballistic threats
• Key testing standards (UL 752(BR), DOS SD-STD-01.01 Rev G(FEBR))
• Practical guidance for specifying security louvers

Did you remember to protect your ventilation openings?

For architects and security consultants working to secure facilities, every opening in the building envelope matters.

Our upcoming white paper explores a key question: How can ventilation openings be protected without compromising airflow or performance?

Architects and security consultants: there’s a new edition of the UL 752 ballistic resistance standard, and it’s worth updating your specifications.

UL 752 Edition 12 introduces a clearer framework for communicating ballistic threat resistance, improving coordination between architects, security consultants, general contractors, and manufacturers.

What’s new:
• Clearer and easier to specify threat levels
• Improved testing consistency, including tighter projectile velocity windows
• More consistent terminology for coordinating doors, glazing, frames, and other protective assemblies

Ultimately, the update does more than refine testing, it positions organizations to make smarter, better-documented security decisions for years to come.

As the industry transitions to UL 752 Edition 12, Harden is already there. Titan Guard ballistic doors are tested to the new standard, helping project teams move forward with confidence today.
