This in-person class will explore how to make your own patterns that fit your individual body shape. Students will finish the course with a minimum of a finessed bodice sloper, sleeve, and skirt sloper, as well as fitted muslins for each sloper. In addition, students should finish with a muslin that they styled for themselves and from which they can trace, cut and sew a garment for themselves. PLEASE NOTE: The prerequisite for taking this course is the introductory patternmaking course. Join us!

In this hands-on two-week course, students in grades 9-12 will develop both the technical and artistic skills needed to have an introductory understanding of photography. Starting with manual camera controls (aperture, shutter speed, and exposure) and finishing with editing in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom students will gain experience of the entire photography process. Along the way, students will explore lens types, editing programs, and photography ethics. By the end of this credit-baring course, students will walk away with new photography skills and a portfolio-ready project. This is a credit-bearing class and grades will be given.
