God of every nation and every people,
we come before you on this National Day of Prayer with grateful hearts.

You have blessed us with life, freedom, community, and hope.
In times of peace and in moments of struggle,
you remain our refuge and strength.

We pray for our nation and for all who lead.
Grant wisdom to elected officials, courage to those who serve, and compassion to all who seek justice and peace.

Heal divisions that separate neighbor from neighbor, and teach us to listen with humility and love.

God of justice and compassion, open our eyes to the pain and struggles of others. Move us to stand beside the poor, the marginalized, the forgotten, and the oppressed.

Give us courage to speak truth with love,
to seek fairness and dignity for every person,
and to build communities where all are welcomed and valued.

May we never grow indifferent to suffering,
but instead become people who reflect your mercy, kindness, and grace.

We pray for churches, schools, families, and communities. Strengthen those who are weary, comfort those who grieve, provide for those in need, and protect the vulnerable. May your Spirit guide us to be people of mercy, generosity, and reconciliation.

We remember those who suffer from violence, poverty, loneliness, and fear. Let your light shine in every dark place, and make us instruments of your hope in the world.

Lord, awaken in us a deeper trust in you
and a renewed commitment to love our neighbors as ourselves.

May our words and actions reflect your grace,
so that together we may build a future marked by peace, dignity, justice, and compassion for all.

In your holy name we pray. Amen.
