As a 16 year old in 1987, I lucked into an amazing summer job with a new company opening an acrylic bathtub company in Summerstown, ON. I got to see (and help) the whole place get set up and into production of vacuum-formed acrylic shells sprayed with fibreglass, and I learned SO much during my time there.
I spent 3 summers there, working incredibly hard; sweating my butt off for owner, Stuart Campbell, who treated his employees with respect and class.
Today I got to install a sign I made for their new lobby - and the entire complex is about 5 times the size it was 28 years ago. Longevity Acrylics is a wonderful success story, and it was a pretty cool ‘full circle’ day for me being there in this new capacity.
Hand-painted, layered pvc lettering, with routed insets, and a little sandblasting detail on the hand-painted teal logo pieces - because I wanted to add a little ‘zing’ for them!

And now for something completely different…
Noella and I installed a striking, 2-sided ACM (aluminum composite material) sign onto existing posts for the Riverside Motel near Morrisburg, ON. We layered hand-painted pvc pieces on both faces to make a robust but lightweight sign, pulling colours from the newly-renovated motel exterior and it looks fantastic from the road!
