For three centuries, this melody belonged only to the strings. 🎻🏛️ In this breathtaking arrangement of J.S. Bach’s Aria, BWV 1068, Guido Dieteren reimagined what it would be like if a human voice inhabited this baroque space. The result is a performance by soprano Wendy Kokkelkoren and The Maestro & The European Pop Orchestra that sounds as if it has always been complete.
Dieteren’s arrangement doesn’t just “decorate” Bach; it reveals the vocal quality inherent in the structure.
