Our Story

HPAH was designed with you and your pet in mind, from services and staff to the design and layout of our facility. We offer curbside services, an easy to use side exit separate from our main lobby, species-specific rooms, and special exam rooms with checkout available from the room that all work together to create a low-stress and comfortable experience for you and your pet. Our exam rooms are specifically curated to the comfort of your pet, including a Comfort Room specifically designed as a living room for a calm, transitional experience when it is time and also cremation options to celebrate your critter’s loving legacy. We are here to calm your pet’s nervousness (and feed treats along the way!) while even giving vaccines or performing an exam where ever your pet feels most comfortable (our floor, your lap.. etc.)

Dr. Carrie Vigeant attended IUP, earning her BS in Biology with a double minor in Chemistry and Biochemistry. She attended Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Carrie has practiced small animal medicine and surgery for nearly 11 years. She has attended a variety of advanced training courses in Dental Surgery, Fear Free Certification, Soft Tissue Surgery in the Feline and Canine, as well as Orthopedic Surgical training. She has worked at West Lancaster Animal Hospital, PETS ER in Lancaster as well as Compassion Animal Hospital.
