I have to share this amazing new adventure I have found myself on with Brooks Steinbaecher. Brooks is the guy behind starting up Beyond the Battlefield - The Adventure After Freedom is the name of the foundation or email [email protected]. I went to where Brooks took his ministry classes and met DR. Mike Hutchings. Dr Mike is off the chart type of a guy. The words he speak and the lesion he teaches to you are just so true. Then Brooks got up and told his store to the group. This is a man that his whole life from being as a Kid to adult hood had the crapes hand of cards dealt to him till the age of 18 when he joins the Army and became a Ranger!!!!!! They were the best days of Brooks life but also the being of the worst. Brooks got a medical discharge 18 years later for mental health reasons. That lead him into suicidal thought. for the next 7 years. I am not going to tell you how his story's ends and where we are today because I need and want people to jump onto his site and read the ending. Here is the kicker, please help him which in turn will able him to help other Men and Women that are suffering so bad just like Brooks was. If every person just gave $1.00 that is all I am asking of each of you. Less than a cup of coffee. Your money 100% goes toward help are Vet's. I cannot tell you how much Brooks as help me personally right now in my very own like. I have been in a bad spot in my own head. Sunday after Church and taking communion at church this day Brooks calls me and asked me this question..... "Have you Broken Soul Ties with Amy? Have you released her to the Father of God?" Let me be honest. I am a big believer in God himself, do I read the bible and know all about this? No, I do not. I asked Brooks what this means in words I can understand. "Doug, have you asked God to bare your pain? By doing this you are telling him you are wanting to lay all the pain and suffering at the bottom of the cross for him to pick up and carry for you so your soul will be cleaned and healed." This took about 15 minutes and answer of couple other questions. Which also set me back with Kaylie Amys daughter but after I got though it with the Tears and pain . I could feel hurt and pain lifting. I slept last night for 6 hours straight. I woke up feeling happy not feel down and out . The question is - A sugar Pill or the power from above? I no Dec 14 at 8 pm I will be sobor for 17 years and I do not take a sugar pill every day, but I do pray to God and thank him for keep me sobor another day. Please $1.00 everybody.... It is run by an amazing man named Brook Steinbaecher. I met Brook at a fishing derby a couple weeks ago. Brook is 100% the real deal badass Army Ranger. Brook came walking up to and interduce himself to me and said " Something is drawing me to you. Are you x- military?" No I answer. From there we just started chatting about how we turn are life around by the power of pray and doing life right. The way God wants us too. Let me say this. I am a big strong guy and Brook is even more of the meaning Badass of guy. We found out by letting God into are life it gave us the greatest power of all mankind. The power to help people in need at the hardest time of their life's. Brook was in my office yesterday telling me a guy he served with for 11 years called him crying and said to Brook, " I am in a very bad spot right now and I am not going to make it thought the day!" What that means is PULL THE TRIGGER! Brook himself told me he himself with hand guns in his hand many times because of feel worthless and his family would be better off with him gone. Now 7 years later though the power of above Brook is good inside his own head and has started this amazing journey of helping other Vets that need the help dearly. Brook spent hours on the phone with his bud and got him back into the right frame of mine to be here on this earth another day. Mission complete for another day. I could write about how government trains are solders, send them off to do their job, bring them home, put them back to civilization and expect them to deal with everyday life now. OK really? My ask of all you is not how much money you can give. It is about how much love and support you can give to these man and women that go off for us and come back to us and their family broken. There is so many other ways to help us and make Brook safe haven for vets You will see . Brook has map out a game plan on his web site. Please check it and care about these solders that come home broken. Rember the government just gave away 93 million to 3 other countries. We need to take care of our own. Thanks
